OUR STORY

A Future in Land.

MyFarm Investments was established in 1990 at a time when farm ownership was beyond most individual investors. Although New Zealand farmland was recognised as a productive, tangible asset that could generate attractive longer-term returns, there was no easy way to invest in it. MyFarm set out to change that by developing an alternative to outright ownership for accessing farming returns.

Drawing on our collective agribusiness and practical farming experience, we focused on the purchase and syndication to investors of carefully selected dairy farms. Between 1992 and 2014, MyFarm investors purchased $829 million of farm assets. The average internal rate of return for the 29 farms that have since been sold was 23.9%p.a.

In 2012, having established a successful farm syndication model, we began looking for opportunities to diversify our investment offering to include other rural land-based assets outside the dairy industry.

Today, MyFarm provides investors with syndicate investment opportunities in dairy, sheep and beef, horticulture (permanent crops), manuka honey and rural commercial property.

Our track record as farm owners, managers and rural investment specialists, along with our focus on the top 25% of New Zealand rural property, has enabled us to consistently outperform more traditional types of investment and deliver above average returns to investors.
