Farm investment and management company, MyFarm is in the final stages of developing an online farm accounting solution integrated with Xero.
The new product is currently being road tested on dairy and sheep/beef farms under MyFarm’s management ahead of its launch at XeroCon in February 2014.
MyFarm currently has 47 dairy farms and 4 sheep and beef farms under management across New Zealand, comprising more than 13,300ha of land and 31,600 dairy cows.
The project to create an accounting software solution began over 12 months ago. MyFarm Director Andrew Watters says it was borne out of frustration with cash based desktop accounting solutions.
“We wanted to harness the power of Xero but to make it work for farming we needed to address livestock trading, cashflow forecasting and be able to project profits and capital position.
“The integration with Xero will bring farm finances to life and help farmers take better control of their business.”
