Rosie's World

At MyFarm we are mainly interested in the returns from investing in quality (and sustainable) dairy farms.  But at the same time we recognise that farmer's relationship with the rest of NZ is important.  Farming needs to co-exist with other land uses, including New Zealander's recreational needs.

The whole topic is complex, but part of the solution is education; that is people living in cities having a better appreciation of dairying and 'how it all works'.

If anyone reading this blog has young children (or grandchildren) I highly recommend that you point them towards the website http://www.rosiesworld.co.nz/ for an interactive look at farming and how milk is produced.  A trip to a farm would be better but I congratulate Dairy NZ on this fun initiative.  After all, according to JFK, "Children and the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future".  Let's make sure they understand farming!
