World Situation and Outlook positive for Dairy - IDF

The International Dairy Federation met this week in Parma, Italy.  The IDF provides a forum for the dairy sector to meet and to discuss issues of mutual interest; promoting the health benefits of dairy, discussing and resolving technical issues and generally discussing areas of mutual interest.

As part of the annual conference the Federation produces an 'outlook for dairy'.  Whilst this writer doesn't want to spend 125 Euros on the full report, one of its main conclusions is that;

“Consumption of food is growing most rapidly in developing markets, due to population and income growth. The dairy sector is benefiting significantly, and the growth in demand for dairy products continues to be one of the strongest of the major commodity groups.”

So onwards and upwards (albeit with some fluctuations).
