MyFarm investor enjoying new challenge

MyFarm investors Nigel and Jenny Fraser are taking their involvement in their dairy equity partnership to a whole new level.

The North Canterbury farmers have sold all their breeding ewes and are now grazing 400 dairy heifers for one of their dairy investment properties.

The Frasers are one of a small number of MyFarm investors who graze heifers for their investment farm, but Nigel says MyFarm have embraced their willingness to take a more active role in their 1600-cow Rakaia dairy operation.

From South Africa to Southland

In 2003 Hannes and Lyzanne du Plessis arrived in New Zealand with a baby, a suitcase and $20.

Five years later the du Plessis' were placed third in the Waikato Sharemilker of the Year awards and June 2011 their journey brought them and their three children to Southland and a new role contract milking on a MyFarm managed dairy syndicate at Edendale.
