Following strong Unitholder support, the MyFarm Poultry Fund is scheduled to form by the end of October.
The Fund will bring together five poultry production properties currently owned by individual MyFarm syndicates across Taranaki and Canterbury, with a combined gross asset value of approximately NZ$69.9 million.
In November wholesale investors will be invited to participate in the Fund’s proposed growth strategy, including an initial capital raise to fund two proposed Waikato acquisitions
Target Capital Raise $6-8million
The capital raise will fund the proposed acquisition of two additional poultry properties. If the acquisitions complete, the Fund would hold seven assets across three regions and earn income from two of New Zealand’s two largest poultry brands; Tegel and Inghams.
Why poultry infrastructure?
- Demand you can eat: Chicken is a staple of New Zealand diets, supporting ongoing demand for poultry production infrastructure
- Driven by Kiwi consumers: Revenue is linked to domestic food consumption, not volatile export markets.
- Protected market position: Biosecurity settings help shield local producers from imported competition.
- Growth requires infrastructure: Industry expansion depends on continued investment in modern poultry sheds.
- Diversified income: Long-dated, CPI-linked leases provide stable rental income, complemented by operational income from the Fund’s poultry properties.
